What we collect

When you submit the free Margin Note form, we collect: your name, business name, email address, sector, revenue figures, expense data, cash position, and your financial question. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email and name.

Why we collect it

Your financial data is used solely to produce the Margin Note analysis you requested. Your email is used to deliver the analysis and, if you opt in, the SmartBusinessAI CFO Notes newsletter. We do not sell, share, or use your data for any other purpose.

Data processors

We use the following services that process your data: Anthropic (AI analysis generation), Resend (email delivery), Beehiiv (newsletter management), Railway (hosting and database). Each processor handles data strictly for the purpose described.

Storage and retention

Your submission data is stored in our application database. We retain it for the duration of any engagement, or for a maximum of 12 months from submission if no engagement is established, after which it is deleted. Newsletter subscribers are retained until they unsubscribe.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request erasure of your data, object to processing, and request data portability. Cookies

This site does not use tracking cookies or analytics scripts. Local storage is used only for advisor authentication on the admin panel.
